I represent the local children's charity, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust which provides vital nursing care in the homes of children who have a life threatening illness such as cancer, brain tumour, cystic fibrosis or terminal illness.
The Trust also provides emotional support and financial help when required.
The charity was founded in 1993 as it sought to address the gap in the treatment of these children and the need for them to be have nursing care at home.
Diana Levantine, Frank Snell and Kate Shaw were the co Founders of the Trust. Di Levantine is the current chair as has been a non paid CEO for 28 years.
The Trust receives no support from the government and needs to raise £400,000 per year to maintain the service.
The charity loves to work with local businesses and the community on events and fundraising initiatives.
I am a Retail Marketing Graduate with a CIMA diploma who started her career as a fashion buyer, worked for the Partnership, events/PR industry and is passionate about the community. Combining my skills for the charity is such a joy.
