5 Email Marketing Tips for Small Business Owners

Email marketing is a seriously cost-effective way to promote your business. At a recent Coffee Catch-Up, we organised a member-led expert surgery to specifically help our members on this important aspect of their marketing.

The Surgery began as an open forum for members to put general questions to our member experts Donna Duggan and Simon Batchelar. Some of these questions were asked in person and others had been posted up earlier on our Members’ Forum by those unable to attend the actual event.

Next we split up into two breakout rooms (this was a Zoom Coffee Catch-Up) and Donna and Simon were able to spend 20-30 minutes giving tailored and specific advice to individual members on their email marketing based on the platform they were using and also the obstacles they were facing.

It was a hugely beneficially session. We all came away understanding how important email marketing is for building relationships with prospective, current and even past customers because it gives you a chance to speak directly to them, in their inbox, at a time that is convenient for them.
